i love watching you get ready to sleep. you have to have blankee spread out on your pillow, smooth and flat, with the tag facing out to the top right. then you rest your head in the middle of B and then stick your knees under your stomach with your butt up in the air...however the other day you did fall asleep with both of your hands tucked behind your head on you back...you are too damn cute!

today, you and i went to joann's and all we bought was play dough (for me) and a box of crayons (for you). on the car trip home, you pulled each crayon out and named it's color and then counted half of them out to me. you counted up to twelve all by yourself for the first time! you always count things but never in the right numerical order...two, seven, four. great job! (and just as a side not you can count to seven in spanish, special thanks to dora!)

you and your dad had a day out at comerica park. the tigers vs tampa bay and although the tigers lost 1-3, you had a great day. you hit 9 out of the 10 balls at the tigers tball game. very impressive! you got to stop by the detroit fire station on your way to the game...you so love the fire trucks!

st. sebastian's carnival. what a fun day. we have been riding our bike down to the church all week watching them set up for the carnival, so you we so excited to finally get to ride the rides. towards the end of the evening you even insisted on sitting by yourself on the catapillar roller coaster!

so i am going to tell you about my day today in hopes that when it is time to put me in a home, you will pick a very very nice one.
when i got up this morning you were already up and your father said he didn't wake me before he left for court because I looked so peaceful. i found you downstairs in front of the dryer with a paint brush in your hand and my VERY expensive jar of facial lotion at your feet empty. you had perfectly painted the entire front of the dryer with my lotion and seemed very proud. i never splurge on myself - i only get hair cuts twice a year, i have had the same clothes for years, but once a year I spend $100 on this lotion...
later after i was done vacuuming the computer room i found you in the kitchen dancing around in the 17, yes 17, eggs you had broken on the floor. you got several swats on the butt and you voluntarily went to your room, came out a few minutes later and said "sorry, momma" and went back into your room until you finished crying.
while i was scrubbing the kitchen floor, you sat quietly in the living room pulling off all the batting off the sofa cushions (their covers were in the was because the previous day you had spilt your red punch all over them). it looked like it had snowed in the living room.
what a day. thank God you did not argue with me when it was time for bed. i might have snapped.

we went to the bike store today to get daddy some new tires and from the moment you saw this trike we knew it was comming home with us. you wouldn't let us leave the store without it, you even moved it right by the door and waited for us. you haven't quite conquered the whole peddling thing yet but you are so close. and then there is cone head...

this afternoon while i was using the restroom, you were so quietly watching dora...or so i thought. you came running into the bathroom without your pants or diaper and exclaimed you were cold. so when i went to pick you up you dodged me and ran into our bedroom and climbed onto our bed and sat down on my pillow. i grabed your ankle and dragged you across the bed before i realized you were poopy. yeah. so i cleaned you and the bed linens and then asked you to tell me where you went cahcah (that is what you call it) and you grabed my hand and took me to the back door and then outside to the corner of the driveway by the garage. interesting. i told you that cahcah was to be done in your little toilet from now on. so we will see how this goes...

you got a new "bean" today. i got it in hopes that you no longer will take all the pillows off the couch and throw them onto the floor. then leap from the sofa to the pillows. recently i have caught you trying to somersault off the couch to the pillows. i think there is more cushioning in the bean bag chair. lets hope.

what a great day! bastian, grandma crystal, aunt dawn, kali, shelby, kelly and karen were over for cupcakes! the hit of the presents was the real dirt devil little vacuum from dee dee. it was great to see the kids fight over who gets to suck up the cupcake crumbs next! you had a great day!

today i had to fix our computer, it had something bad that was making everything run super slow. so while i was in the computer room getting a program started, you apparently decided to open the fridge and check things out. i can out of the computer room - 15 minutes later and found you in the living room with 4 unwrapped sticks of real butter. three of the sticks were on the ottoman and you had the 4th stick in your mouth watching caillou. you adore butter and cant get enough of it on your waffles. i look back and see the humor in this but at the time i was a bit upset. i couldnt rinse the crap that was stuck to the butter off so i had to shave each side of each stick to get them clean. aarrrggghhhh. i wish i would have thought to get the camera first and then start lecturing....

the first dentist appointment

we all had a dentist appointment today - including you and it is your first visit. I went in to have my teeth cleaned and you stayed in the lobby with your dad and played ball with the other waiting people in the lobby. When dad went in, i held you up so you could watch what she was doing to daddys teeth. when it was your turn, you would nothing to do with it. you wanted no part in the whole situation. but you still got a tooth brush and two mirrors. we will try again in 6 month.

i cant believe you are leaving me alone long enough to type in this blog - usually you are constantly trying to get up in my lap the entire time while yelling "Noddy!" so i dont usually even bother trying - but tonight there is a new episode Caillou on tv and you are sucked in. the house could blow up and you wouldnt notice because caillou is on. thank God for Caillou.

you found my baby today. i got her from my grandparents when i was four. you put your pillow in your little wagon - even gave her your blankee and pulled her around with you everywhere today. you read to her and even insist on napping with her. i loved her. now you love her. your dad is thrilled.

tonite i went to the grocery store and left you with your dad and was gone still at your bedtime. you are so used to me rocking you to sleep everynite, i dont think you knew exactly what to do. so tonight you were so tired that you got off the sofa where you were sitting with dad and crawled into the pillow teepee on the chair and fell fast asleep! this was a first - going to sleep on your own. a few minutes later mopar jumped up to sleep with her best buddie.

ok, so i had a appointment with my obgyn today - which i forgot about so i had no sitter for you. so after waiting an hour in the waiting room, i was put into a room and given a little pink tissue thingy to change into...i didnt know it was my yearly check up. i have lost my mind somewhere. i looked at you, sleeping so peacefully in the stroller but the moment dr. allen walked into the room, you woke up and started to cry hysterically. i took you out of the stroller and you stopped crying and when i put you back into the stroller so the exam could start you become very upset. so i had no choice - i had to lay on the table and hold you while dr. allen and his student doctor in training gave both my breasts a good exam along with my other female part.
i better start putting aside for your therapy now.

started infant massage class today. there were three other babies there -one a week younger than you (she couldn't hold up her head yet while on her belly and you could already), one a month older and one who was only 5 weeks.
the mom with the tiny 5 week old exclaimed when i took you out of the stroller "he looks just like one of those babies who model for the infant toys!"
an all american baby - blue eyes, bald and chunky!
you did not want to have anything to do with the massages - you just insisted on eating and watching the other babies until they turned up the heat (on this fine 85 degree day) to keep the tiny 5 week old baby warm. you started to sweat and got very pissy because you were hot and didn't want anything to do with anybody. you finally had enough and fell asleep on my chest for the remainder of the class.

today you finally figured out how to suck your thumb! you havebeen starring at your hands for days now, for hours at a time - i think you just realized they were yours and they are attached to you. it is funny how you bring your head to your hand instead of moving your hand to your mouth.

your dad and i had our bowling banquet (the roosevelt balls & chains league champions we are!) tonight and aunt kelly took you to laurie's harley cinco de mayo party - complete with fireworks! kelly said all the guys started up their harley's and you didn't even bat an eyelash.
